Emily Roark Wiki – Emily Roark Biography

LOUISIANA: A three-year-old girl is missing half of her face after being mauled by the family’s rescue dog. Rebekka Bolline took in three-year-old dog Tater Tot at a local animal shelter after her youngest daughter, Emily Roark, asked her for a puppy, a decision she now deeply regrets. Within 24 hours of welcoming her new friend, the pup “ate a bit of Emily’s face”, leaving the horrified mother-of-two to believe she was dead.

They had a good relationship. The dog let her kiss her face, her muzzle, let her pet her and all of her,” said Rebekka of Louisiana. “The short time they were together, they were very sweet to each other. Emily came downstairs and was stroking the dog from the nape of her neck to her back, very, very gently. Within seconds, she barked and clung to her face and then began to shake her from side to side, while I screamed in terror, ‘Get off my baby, get off my baby,'” the Daily Mail reported.

Emily Roark mauled by rescue dog

Rebekka continued, “When the dog bit her and clung to her, he didn’t make a sound. Her body relaxed and she was thrown all over the place. At that moment, I thought she wasn’t going to do anything.” and that she was going to die. I didn’t know how to help her. She couldn’t take the dog from him. I kept screaming. I don’t remember how I removed the dog, I blocked it. After the dog got loose, the boy was rushed to Slidell Memorial Hospital in Louisiana. Rebekka claims the attack left Emily with her right cheek hanging out as the dog “ate” her face and “swallowed” part of her body. The three-year-old cannot smile on one side of her face or sleep on it.

The Louisiana mother claims she was told the dog was a Labrador retriever mix, but she now fears she had something of a pit bull. “His cheek was badly bitten off. The dog ate part of his face. I will never trust a dog again. He broke for no reason.” The baby was taken to Children’s International Pediatrics Hospital in New Orleans, where a plastic surgeon sewed up the cuts on the boy’s cheeks, lips and even inside the mouth.

“Doctors say he won’t be able to smile or eat on one side of his face and her tear duct may have been damaged as well,” her GoFundMe read. The mom who created the fundraiser is raising money for Emily’s “multiple reconstruction surgery.” Although she was released on March 17, Emily is far from recovered. Animal control took the dog away and it has since been euthanized. “Occasionally, she’s in a lot of pain, she’ll point to herself and say, ‘Mommy I’m dying, Mommy I’m dying. Puppy was hungry,’ which is heartbreaking,” she said.Read More…..
