Florida 8-year-old accused of cutting throat of another child
An 8-year-old Florida boy has been arrested after allegedly attacking another boy at a home on Saturday. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Clermont home around 4:25 p.m. over a report of a child slashing another child’s throat, according to an affidavit obtained by FOX 35 Orlando. Upon arrival, the officer observed a minor outside the residence knocking on the front door. The child cried and said that he did not want to be taken away. The boy walked away several times as he tried to get him handcuffed, the affidavit says. As the officer attempted to put him inside a marked patrol vehicle, the boy allegedly kicked a lead officer and the patrol vehicle.
The juvenile victim said that he is a foster child who lives in the residence and was suffocated by the suspect, who let him go when he said he couldn’t breathe. The 8-year-old boy allegedly grabbed and swung a kitchen knife, slashing the victim’s throat. The affidavit said that a neighborhood friend recovered the juvenile defendant’s knife.

The boy then went to grab a stick and tried to hit the victim, according to the affidavit, but several minors. The 8-year-old boy allegedly asked for the knife and said that he was going to “kill everyone” before going back into the residence to get another knife. The 8-year-old boy was placed under arrest and taken to the Lake County Detention Center.
It should be noted that the Juvenile Defendant has a history of violence at the residence and towards others,” the affidavit says. “Foster children fear the Juvenile Defendant.” The 8-year-old boy is facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault by strangulation, assault on a law enforcement officer, aggravated assault and resisting a law enforcement officer.Read More……
