Franklin J. Grayson accused shooting a plyaer

Michigan-based Olivet College identified the suspect as a 2021 graduate of the school. The player suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting, the school said. “He was treated at a local hospital and has now been released to the care of his parents,” he added, noting that the rest of the team had safely returned to Olivet.

Grayson had been in the custody of the Muskingum County Sheriff since Sunday, and the prosecutor’s office requested a $1 million bond. It was not immediately clear if the suspect had an attorney to speak on his behalf. The university said police had said there was no indication of a relationship between the suspect and the victim and there was no known or ongoing threat to the student-athlete or anyone else in the Olivet College community.
