TASMANIA: A mother of four has died after her ex-boyfriend allegedly ran her over with a car in Campania in Tasmania on Monday March 13. Jacqui Parton 37, has left behind four children, including a 20-year-old daughter. and three children after she was allegedly crushed to death by her ex-partner at a rental property in northeast Hobart.

Following reports that Purton had been seriously injured, emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident at around 3:30 a.m., but were unable to save her. On Monday morning, Macrh 13, a white Holden Commodore sedan with a broken bumper bar and a broken window, was parked in the driveway. “Police have alleged that the man was known to the 37-year-old woman who died of serious injuries after being struck by a car on property on Native Corners Road,” Tasmania Police said in a statement. “The man will appear before Hobart Magistrates Court tomorrow,” the statement added.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Purton’s mother, Leanne Walford, said her daughter and the 38-year-old alleged killer met in 2019 and were together for around four years before splitting in September 2022. “We don’t know the details. . or why he was there on Monday or anything except [supposedly] he ran over her,” he said. Purton’s sister, Zoe, said the late mother tried to “live an amazing, free life” while working at a food truck to support her four children, all from her previous relationships.

Speaking of Purton’s eldest daughter, Shakira, Zoe said that she’s “incredible and very strong, but it’s because she doesn’t want to break down in front of those guys. She wants to be there for [them].” Purton’s sister confirmed that orphaned daughter Shakira will take care of her younger siblings.

Zoe went on to say that the family received the news of Purton’s death on social media. “My mother woke up and saw where it happened. She followed up and we confirmed it,” she said. She then recalled her sister as a loving mother who “lived for her children,” adding, “She wasn’t always given an easy hand, but no matter what, she raised her children as a single mother and went out of her way to make sure that never ran out”.
