Jonathan Rolfe a 17-year-old Arkansas boy fatally shot his mother, sister and a man in the fall, deputies say. Now Jonathan Rolfe is charged as an adult with three counts of capital murder, according to WHBQ.

St. Francis County deputies said they found the victims dead while conducting a welfare check at the home. They found the adults, mother Shalanda Barton, 34, and Ja’Terrence Wright, 32, dead in bed with gunshot wounds. Barton’s daughter, Kelsie Thompson, 13, was found on a bedroom floor. A 4-year-old boy who was home during the shooting survived, St. Francis County Sheriff Bobby May said at the time.

Jonathan Rolfe accused of killing his family

Investigators were awaiting a forensic report from the Arkansas State Laboratory before they could make an arrest. “It was absolutely cold-blooded murder,” Sheriff May said at a news conference on Thursday. Investigators claim that Rolfe shot them all before 2 a.m. m. of November 27. He allegedly stole Barton’s car and then abandoned it, but he had the key fob to that vehicle.

“I am happy that this process for justice is beginning,” Clarissa Jackson, a relative of Wright, said at the news conference. She expressed shock at the deaths. “I understand that Ja’Terrance was a stranger to him, but knowing that he could kill his mother and his brother in cold blood, like that, it’s really hard to understand and understand that.”

The Forest City School District previously said without naming her that Thompson attended school there. “Forrest City School District is saddened to learn of the tragic loss of an FCSD student and her family overnight,” they said in November.Read More…..
