An Oregon man who reported a woman missing is now charged with murdering and dismembering her. According to authorities, Jamon Peter Fristch discarded the victim’s body parts in different dumpsters. On Monday, August 7, Fritsch was taken into custody by police in Oregon City, Oregon, charged with second-degree murder, abuse of a corpse, and manslaughter of Kara Taylor. The accused killer admitted to dismembering the victim and discarding her body parts, according to prosecutors, Law and Crime reported.
On July 25, Taylor left a home located in the 200 block of Jefferson Street at night. The 49-year-old woman from Washington state was staying with her friends in Oregon City. Two days later, Fritsch reported her missing. Police did not release any information about the relationship between the victim and the alleged killer, but stated that they lived in the house on Jefferson Street. In a statement from Taylor’s family issued by the Oregon City Police Department, the victim was described as a “phenomenal woman” who is survived by a 22-year-old daughter with special needs.

The statement further said that Taylor was a “very loving and caring person who would do anything for anyone if she knew it would get better one day in her life. She trusted and had faith in others and believed there was good in everyone.” Expressing gratitude to authorities for her work, Taylor’s family stated: “Her time here is cut short, but those who had the blessed opportunity to be a part of her life will be forever grateful for the time they spent. with her”.
In a press release issued Monday, Oregon City police stated that investigators are “working diligently to locate and recover Ms. Taylor’s remains.” In court, prosecutors said an investigation into the case revealed that after Taylor was reported missing “but before reporting him to police, the defendant made several trips to Home Depot to purchase zip ties, tarps, a saw blade , a black bag and contractor bags, among other things”. According to prosecutors, FBI agents found blood in the bedroom, on the walls, in the bathroom, in the bathtub, and on a saw belonging to the alleged killer. Authorities opened a criminal investigation after Taylor’s disappearance was deemed suspicious.
On Saturday, the Clackamas County Major Crimes Team and Oregon City investigators executed a search warrant at other locations, who “developed evidence leading them to believe that Ms. Taylor had died of homicidal violence, and an arrest warrant has been issued for Mr. Fritsch.”Read More…..
