That was what was left of this beautiful young woman,” Blake said. “Her DNA from her was discovered on a pick and shovel and later found in Daybell’s shed.”

JJ was wrapped in plastic and taped; Tylee was dismembered and burned, the East Idaho News reported, citing court documents. Judge Steven Boyce ruled in March that Vallow, who spent time in a psychiatric treatment facility before being deemed fit to stand trial, would not face the death penalty for the murders.

After the children disappeared, Lori and Chad, an author who has written about religious doomsday scenarios, faced police scrutiny when their past revealed a trail of mysterious deaths, including Chad’s wife, Tammy Daybell, who died in October. of 2019, weeks after the disappearance of Lori’s children. and weeks before Chad and Lori were to get married.
