Shannon O’Connor Wiki – Shannon O’Connor Biography

Shannon O’Connor the “party mom” accused of hosting secret booze-fueled parties for underage teens at her California mansion, where she urged them to engage in non-consensual sexual acts with each other while she watched, was hospitalized after being attacked by a group of inmates while she remains incarcerated awaiting trial, court records show. Five inmates at the Santa Clara County Jail are accused of entering a dormitory at the Elmwood Correctional Center without provocation and brutally beating O’Connor by repeatedly kicking and punching her.

“The assault was carried out with hands and feet, and the level of force used likely resulted in great bodily injury,” a deputy sheriff wrote in an affidavit. “No other weapons were used.” She did not hit or threaten her attackers, the deputy added. Authorities say the beating, caught on surveillance footage, lasted about 16 seconds before officers entered and escorted O’Connor out of the bedroom. She was treated at a hospital.

Charges on Shannon O’Connor

The inmates charged in the attack, Erika Amaya, Danielle Chavez, Sophia Vigil, Anita Quiroz and Marjaana Gardea, each face one count of assault by force likely to cause great bodily harm. They are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, records show. Meanwhile, O’Connor, 47, is being held without bail on 39 criminal charges, including felony child abuse, sexual assault, sexual assault and supplying alcohol to minors.

Prosecutors say he hosted parties for children, mostly 14 and 15-year-olds. He bought Fireball vodka and whiskey, provided condoms and urged teens not to tell their parents about the parties. He also allegedly discouraged the children from calling for help when one passed out from getting drunk and vomiting, authorities said.

O’Connor allegedly used social media platforms to communicate with students at Los Gatos High School, where two of his children were enrolled. She often used Snapchat or text messages, telling teens to leave their homes late at night and go to her house where they could drink the alcohol she had bought for them.

During a New Year’s Eve party with about five 14-year-old boys, he allegedly watched and laughed as a drunken teenager sexually assaulted a girl in bed. In another case, he allegedly led a drunken teenager into a room in his house where an inebriated 14-year-old girl was lying on the bed.

Afterwards, the girl asked O’Connor, “Why did you leave me there with him? Why did you like doing that? Like you knew what he was going to do to me. Prosecutors say he also let a minor drive his SUV into a parking lot while two other children were dangling from the back of the vehicle.
