Spring Township police arrested a man in a shooting Friday night, investigators said Saturday. Terrance Bridgers, 30, of the 1300 block of Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, was charged with simple and aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. Bail information was not available Saturday.

At approximately 11 p.m. On Saturday, officers were called to the area of Cleveland and Morwood avenues, where they found a male victim with a minor gunshot wound to the arm.

Charges on Terrance Bridgers

The victim told police that he had been visiting a woman’s residence in the 2100 block of Cleveland Avenue when he was confronted by another man whom he did not know. The victim fled when the other man shot him. A bullet hit him. Police did not release the identities of the victim or the woman he was visiting.

As officers spoke with the woman, they observed Bridgers attempting to flee through a second-story window. He went back up when he saw the police. He was detained without further incident. Police determined that he was the shooter.

Police searched Bridgers’ residence and found a semi-automatic pistol and ammunition hidden in the basement. The victim was treated for his injury and released from an area hospital. Wyomissing Police and Berks County Detectives assisted in the investigation.Read More……
