A Florida gym teacher arrested for allegedly having sex with a 15-year-old student in February has been re-arrested by police on allegations of an inappropriate relationship with another teen from a different school where he worked. The girl was a student at Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, where Hankerd taught physical education before moving to Atlantic High School in 2021. Hankerd was able to continue his twisted plans and found a new, younger teenage student to exploit, prosecutors said, leading to his arrest for the relationship with the 15-year-old.

Hankerd was captured after the mother of his alleged victim reviewed the girl’s diary, which detailed the predatory relationship. Prosecutors say Hankerd began buying students lunch in December, but the relationship escalated just a month after he began sending her inappropriate photos on Instagram.

The gym teacher had reportedly been warned numerous times over the years about his creepy behavior. At least 30 women have come forward with information in the last three months, including four who claimed to have been victimized. Hankerd was immediately suspended after his arrest in February.

Following Hankerd’s second arrest, a judge ruled that the former teacher should remain in jail without bail until his trial after agreeing with the state attorney’s office that he is a danger to the community.Read More……
