Adams initially gave conflicting accounts to investigators and claimed that he did not believe in the father of Sims’ unborn child. He claimed that he was home on the night of January 30 and did not know that she was dead. The rapper, who recorded three albums, two EPs and several singles, soon changed his statement and claimed that he was at his friend’s house but not near the scene of the crime. He also gave police a video of him with his friends. However, investigators determined that the video was doctored and was originally filmed on February 1, according to the Daily Mail.

He told the jury of six men and six women that he saw Albury pointing a gun at Meeks, who was working on his computer at the time.

Adams said he shot Albury in self-defense and killed Thompson when he jumped on his gun. The jury believed Adams’ account and acquitted him of two counts of first-degree murder after a four-hour deliberation. “The jury found that you are not criminally liable for that, but I certainly hope that you never find yourself in a situation in the future that might involve something like this,” Hillsborough Circuit Judge Christopher Sabella said.Read More……
