OHIO: Bryanna Barozzini, 18, who was charged with the murder of a 17-year-old girl, is out on bail. The college student fatally stabbed Halia Culbertson Sunday night, March 26, near a shopping center in East Columbus, Ohio, according to the Columbus Division of Police.

Authorities said Barozzini threw a knife at the girl during a fight. Culbertson was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, however she soon succumbed to her injuries. Under Ohio law, the 18-year-old is currently facing a murder charge. The defendant appeared for her arraignment in Franklin County Municipal Court on Tuesday, March 28, Law and Crime reported.

Barozzini settled on a $750,085 bail amount that was posted Tuesday. The bond set comes with conditions that prohibit you from visiting a crime scene or possessing ammunition, firearms or any other weapons and prohibits you from any contact with the victim’s family.

According to authorities, surveillance footage and witnesses said the altercation began inside a convenience store at 161 Carryout and continued outside the parking lot. The defendant was later found at her home in Westerville. Culbertson died Monday at 12:24 a.m. at Ohio Health Riverside Medical Center.

Speaking to WSYX, Louis Barnett, who visits the corner store where the crime took place to buy his lottery tickets, said: “Our young people, their lives are ending too quickly.
