Two high school students have died and four more are in serious condition at the hospital after a teenager Cameron Everett Brand opened fire at a house party in southern Mississippi. The Biloxi Sun Herald reported early Sunday that the shootings occurred Saturday night in Bay St. Louis, about 29 miles (46 kilometers) west of Biloxi.

A 16-year-old and an 18-year-old died as a result of their injuries, but their names are not known. In all, six students were shot and taken to an area hospital. Three were in critical condition and three were in serious condition immediately after the shooting, authorities said.

Cameron Everett Brand accused of shooting at Mississippi house party

Two of the victims are students from Bay High School in Bay St. Louis. Four of the students attend Hancock High School in Kiln, 13 miles (21 kilometers) northwest of Bay St. Louis. Video of the incident showed multiple shots being fired in the incident.

None of the victims attended the Bay High prom, which was held on Saturday night. The victims were between the ages of 15 and 18. Four victims were taken to the hospital by medical helicopter. The house where the party was held is less than a mile from the Hollywood Casino.

Police say they arrested 19-year-old Cameron Everett Brand as the only shooter at the party. He was charged with six counts of aggravated assault and is being held in a Mississippi jail on $3 million bail. Brand was arrested at his home without incident. No motive has been released and police have not said what led to the deadly encounter at the home along the Mississippi coast.Read More……..
