About 10:15 p.m. the shooter entered Doug’s Eastside Convenience Center store at 9017 Rogers Avenue. Moore was shot during the robbery, police said. A customer who had stopped in the parking lot said the shooter fired again, but the customer was not injured.

The customer, still in the vehicle, drove away to safety and called police, according to a Fort Smith news release early Saturday. Police did not release a description of the shooter early Saturday.
Ellow crime scene tape was around the property at 91st Street and Rogers Ave. near the Smile Bull restaurant. Several people who gathered in front of the store on Saturday morning refused to comment on what happened. The shooter got into a vehicle and fled in an unknown direction, police said.
