A man and a woman died after an apparent homicide-suicide in the Northside on Thursday afternoon, according to Cincinnati police. Dayshawn Blair, 22, died at the scene, police said, and the Cincinnati Fire Department took a 19-year-old woman to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where she died of her injuries shortly after arriving.

Police said officers responded around 4:37 p.m. to a report of two people shot in the 4200 block of Chambers Street, a quiet residential street lined with two-story painted brick houses.

The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office identified her Friday morning as Kenzie Spurlock-Flowers. The shooting is being investigated by detectives and the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office as a homicide-suicide, police said, noting that Blair’s injuries were self-inflicted.
