A 49-year-old Missouri doctor disappeared after he failed to show up for work, and his vehicle was found abandoned in a park in the Ozarks. Dr. John Forsyth, a physician at Mercy Hospital in Cassville, was last seen around 7 a.m. Sunday, and he was expected to work at night, police said.
His car was later found abandoned at the Cassville Aquatics Center, according to KOLR. Police said the keys were still inside the vehicle, that it was parked in a dump area, and that the doors were unlocked, KY3 reported.

Forsyth, who is staying in a trailer near the hospital, went there briefly after leaving the clinic on Sunday morning, according to the news outlet. Police said a K9 using the scents from his clothes and his car detected an odor in a brush pile, but nothing turned up, KY3 reported. Authorities found two cellphones in his trailer and used a heat-signature drone in the search.
The doc’s fiancee said it was strange that he had disappeared without a trace. Her sister, Tiffany Andelin, urged anyone with information to contact authorities and the family. “If anyone knows anything, please contact us. I’m so worried, I’m a mess. That is all I can say at this time,” she wrote on Facebook.
“I think this is sharable now so if you know people in Missouri please share. He has been a physician in the Aurora area for many years, so I think a lot of people will know him,” Andelin wrote. Thank you to everyone who responded or shared this post. Knowing that people care and are looking out for him is a comfort, more than I can say,” she added.

The missing man was described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, and wearing a black shirt with blue/gray pants when he was seen leaving the Cassville Mercy ER Clinic.Read More…..
