Emma Brown killed her father and herself

The Parker County District Attorney’s office confirmed that the second girl, who has not been identified, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder. A spokeswoman was unable to provide details of the girl’s sentence due to Texas state law that protects the identity of minors charged with a crime.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy and ruled her cause and manner of death to be suicide by gunshot wound to the head. Her father, who suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen, was recently released from the hospital and is expected to recover.
