An Oregon acupuncturist allegedly raped a young woman after luring her into his home under the guise of a modeling job. Now the police fear that the suspect, Gabriel Forest Weiss may have more victims. Weiss 49, was arrested Friday morning in Portland. “The Portland Police Bureau’s Sex Crimes Unit today announces the arrest of a man on a sex crimes warrant and is seeking other potential victims who may not have yet filed police reports,” the Bureau of Police wrote. Weiss is apparently a long-time Portland resident. He is currently in the Multnomah County Detention Center on one count of first degree rape and first degree sodomy. Records show no bond. “These charges stem from August 2018, when Weiss allegedly lured a 19-year-old woman to her home in the Creston-Kenilworth neighborhood under the guise of modeling work,” police wrote. “Once he was in her study, Weiss allegedly tied the woman up before assaulting her.”

Gabriel Forest Weiss raped a 19 years old girl

There is evidence that Weiss may have sexually assaulted other people, police said, without elaborating on what this evidence is. Police and the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office are asking members of the public to contact them if they have any information about Weiss. Police claimed Weiss worked as an artist under the pseudonyms Kawiri Cascabel and Gabe Kawiri. He also used to run the Bamboo Grove Salon, “a teahouse, music, art, and event space in the interior of southeast Portland.”

“Throwing back to the good old Bamboo Grove Teahouse days – I had so much fun coming up with herbal decoctions on the fly,” Weiss wrote in a Jan. 26 post on Instagram. Most recently, Weiss practiced acupuncture at Clinic Eleven in the Old Town-Chinatown neighborhood. In the 2000s, he was a student and instructor at the Portland National College of Natural Medicine.
