Hernando County, Florida, deputies say they arrested a woman for fatally shooting a man while he was lying in bed with her. The defendant, Gabrielle Elizabeth Bohn, 19, allegedly gave conflicting statements about how and why she shot the man.

According to agents, there was a 911 call from a woman who said she was doing chest compressions on a man who was shot. First responders arrived and took the man to a local hospital before a helicopter airlifted him to an area trauma center for further treatment, but he ultimately died of his injuries.

When the police began to investigate, they learned that Bohn was lying in bed with the man when he was shot. “Officers on scene reported hearing Bohn make troubling statements about accidentally shooting the victim as she was being carried to the ambulance,” authorities wrote. “A witness told investigators that he was in another room when he heard a loud bang. When he went to the victim’s room, he observed Bohn holding the victim.

The witness, who is a nurse, told Bohn to start CPR while she called 9-1-1. The witness then took over for Bohn’s chest compressions.” Bohn allegedly gave conflicting statements about how and why she shot the man. “Bohn maintained that the shooting was an accident and ‘she did not intend to shoot him,'” the agents wrote.

Authorities did not specify her relationship to the man or suggest how they believe the shooting occurred. They did not immediately respond to Law&Crime’s request for more information. Bohn is charged with manslaughter with the use of a firearm. She is in the Hernando County Detention Center on $10,000 bond. Arraignment is set for May 23.Read More……
