Gigi Jordan, a millionaire pharmaceutical executive who murdered her eight-year-old autistic son, was found dead inside her home in Stuyvesant Heights on Friday morning, December 30, around 12:30 a.m. The cause of death has yet to be determined, but authorities are investigating the 62-year-old’s death as a possible suicide.

According to the Daily Mail, a note was found at the scene. This comes just hours after United States Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor issued an order that would have sent her back to prison. Gigi Jordan first husband or ex husband is Raymond Mirra Jr.

Jordan was accused of force-feeding her autistic son, Jude Mirra, a lethal dose of pills mixed with alcohol and orange juice in February 2010 inside a room at the Peninsula Hotel in Manhattan.

Gigi Jordan Murdered her 8 year old son Jude Mirra

She was convicted of first-degree manslaughter in 2014 and sentenced in 2015 to 18 years in prison. She admitted that she administered an overdose of prescription pills to her son, as previously reported.

Jordan’s lawyers argued that she had killed the boy in an act of mercy. She claimed that she did it to protect him from sexual abuse and death threats from his biological and adoptive parents.

Both, however, have said they had no part in her act. She testified at her trial that she too tried to commit suicide by overdosing on pills, but the suicide attempt failed. “I didn’t see any way out of this situation. I made the decision that I was going to end my life and Jude’s life,” says Daily Mail.

In December 2020, she was placed on home confinement and granted a $250,000 bond. Manhattan federal judge Sarah Cave overturned her conviction in September, ruling that Jordan’s right to a public trial had been violated in 2014.
