American journalist Grant Wahi has died after collapsing while covering the World Cup in Qatar. He was 48 years old.

According to the World Cup organizers, Wahi fell ill in the press area and received emergency medical assistance for around 20 to 25 minutes at the stadium before being transferred to Harnad General Hospital.

According to representatives of the US media sitting near him, Wahi reclined in his seat in the press box at Lusail Iconic Stadium during extra time and reporters close to him called for medical assistance.

Additionally, Eric noted that his sister had confided in him about receiving numerous death threats, further fueling his belief that there was more to Grant’s death than meets the eye.
