Jen Shah sentenced to prison for 6.5 years wire fraud targeting the elderly

In the courtroom on Friday, January 6, Shah was seen sobbing as Judge Stein read her statement. The judge said: “The role of Jen Shah on ‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,’ which I guess is why the courtroom is so packed today, is just that, a role. People shouldn’t confuse the character she plays on an entertainment show with the person in front of me,” according to Inner City Press.

“All the cooperators told us that Jen Shah is the boss. Everyone knew who she was,” said Assistant US Attorney Robert Sobelman, who represented the federal government, adding: “There is not a single message from her that expresses any kind of remorse, not one from her. The defense has not presented any. This is not how he felt even when she pleaded guilty,” after which Judge Stein referred to Shah as the “leader” of her conspiracy.

However, ahead of the court’s ruling, Priya Chaudhury, Shah’s lawyer, said that her client “sorries for the mistakes she has made. She feels it. She had faith in our justice system. Jen will pay off her debt to society.”
