Jermiera Ivory Fowler cause of death

Police and firefighters found the body of a woman still burning and worked to extinguish the flames, according to video released by the Birmingham Police Department. “Officers observed visible signs of trauma on the victim,” Officer Truman Fitzgerald said in the video. “We are currently investigating this case as a homicide.”

Medical examiners later identified her body as Fowler’s and said she had been shot before it was set on fire, AL.com reported. Although the department noted that Fowler left for a Facebook Marketplace meeting before she disappeared, they cannot confirm if her death was the result of that meeting at this time, police said.

Fowler was the mother of two children, AL.com reported. “My (my daughter’s friend’s) mother left her house in Kingston around 5:30 last night to buy an item and never came home,” a friend posted on Facebook. “She would not abandon her children and she is a great mother to her children.”

Police said Fowler told her family that she was going to meet someone to make a purchase on Facebook Marketplace. “We have not ruled it out, but our detectives have uncovered additional facts that may not solely point to a Facebook marketplace meeting,” Birmingham Police Officer Truman Fitzgerald said.Read More……
