Joe James Wiki – James Biography
A man made the grisly discovery of the bodies of his mother and brother Joe James following a murder-suicide, the Aiken County Coroner’s Office said. Aiken County sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of the bodies at a home in the 500 block of Rennie Street Friday afternoon, Coroner Darryl Ables said in a news release.

James killed his mother
The victims, identified as Betty James, 86, and her son J. James, 68, died at the scene of single gunshot wounds, according to Ables. An investigation shows that Joe James shot his mother and then killed himself, Ables said. Information about the motive for the shooting was not available.

It was not known if Betty James, Joe James or both lived in the Graniteville home, which is about 3 miles from the University of South Carolina’s Aiken campus.
An autopsy will be performed on Betty James at Newberry, but an autopsy is not scheduled for Joe James, according to the statement. Both the sheriff’s office and the coroner’s office continue to investigate the deaths.Read More……
