John Hackett Wiki – John Hackett Biography

The first image has been released of a man allegedly beaten to death by a gang of schoolchildren lining up for his dog. The dog walker, identified by family members as 36-year-old John Hackett, was said to have been “strangled” to the ground and then repeatedly punched and kicked by the group in a park in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.

The children are alleged to have attacked Mr Hackett after a fight after he allegedly refused to pick up the mess left behind by his dog, or after a stick he had thrown at his pet struck one of the kids. It comes as two 15-year-old boys and a 15-year-old girl have been released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of murder.

A neighbor told MailOnline that two girls allegedly yelled at Mr Hackett before “it all started” at Snow Hill Recreation Ground on Tuesday night. Locals claimed that a disgusting video of the brutal attack was posted on social media but has since been deleted. A bar worker called the images “disgusting” and added: “The poor guy didn’t deserve that.”

John Hackett cause of death

Mr. Hackett is believed to have been his mother’s caretaker. He reportedly struggled on the short walk home before his mother found him dead in bed the next morning, according to a neighbor. Emergency services went to his home, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Two boys and a girl have been arrested on suspicion of murder. The house, as well as a neighboring property and a park entrance, remain cordoned off by police.

Describing the video, shot on a mobile phone by one of eight members of the crowd, the young mother said: “Two boys kept hitting and kicking him. One had dropped him in a choke slam and kept his arm around his neck as he lay on the ground. The other hit him on the head and kicked him in the side.

Girls and a few other guys milled around as he took a beating. There were about eight of them. They kept hitting and kicking him. He was brutal, he was very disgusting. The video lasted about a minute.

‘The rumor is that it was all about a bit of dog excrement that was not thrown away. Someone else said the man had thrown a stick at his dog and hit one of the girls. A ‘choke slam’ is a wrestling move in which a wrestler grabs an opponent’s neck, lifts them up, and slams them to the ground.

Warwickshire Police said an altercation had broken out at the sports ground at around 6:15 p.m. m. Tuesday. Police are now urging witnesses, or people with pictures in any form, to come forward. Another neighbor who had known the victim for 20 years said: ‘Word got out that the girls were scolding him for not picking up the mess.

“He may or may not have done it, but he’d often let his dogs loose at the gate and they’d run around the park and do the part of him.” He added: “He helped take care of her mother, she will be devastated without him and she doesn’t know how she will cope.” I want to know that he’s okay, but he hasn’t been home and the cordon police aren’t telling me anything. What happened is terrible and has really shaken the community.’

Warwickshire Police Detective Inspector Collette O’Keefe said: “Investigations are ongoing and residents can expect to continue to see increased police presence in the area.” “I would like to take this opportunity to reiterate that we believe this was an isolated incident and there is no risk to the general public.

‘We would also like to remind residents that attempting to share the names of young people is a criminal offense. “We are also aware of the images of the altercation being shared on social media and we ask people to refrain from sharing them. “Attempting to name the youth or sharing a video may ultimately harm the investigation.”Read More……
