A press release from the Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office noted how they received a 911 call around 2 a.m. Monday reporting that a child had just been shot at Summit Garden Apartments, located in the 300 block of Coldwater River Road. in jonestown.
According to the statement, an off-duty deputy sheriff residing in Jonestown heard the call to deputies over the radio and responded to the scene “immediately.” Upon his arrival, the off-duty police officer met several on-duty officers and the group made contact with the suspect shortly thereafter.
