Massachusetts State Police and Bristol County Homicide Detectives responded to the area of 42 West Church Street around 11:11 a.m. m. to assist police in the homicide investigation. Mansfield police officers located Waters with gunshot wounds.

According to the prosecutor, one person is currently in custody in connection with Waters’ murder, but has not yet been formally charged with any crime.
