An Atlanta man, who had been wanted for murder in Harris County, Texas, was arrested by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigative Unit (SIU) Fugitive Team and US Marshals. Steven Jones, 28, is accused of stabbing Clarence Logan, 28, multiple times in a hotel parking lot near Bush Intercontinental Airport in September 2022.

Steven Jones accused of killing Clarence Logan
Jones was captured at his mother’s McDonough residence following a tip from Crime Stoppers. The arrest was made in the 200 block of White Mountain Pass without incident. Henry County Sheriff Reginald B. Scandrett said Jones’ arrest was made possible by help received from the public.

In a statement, Sheriff Scandrett said, “The faster criminals are taken off the streets, the more crimes can be prevented. Most of the public don’t realize the importance of their advice. We were able to help the US Marshals The US has arrested Mr. Jones within hours of being notified he was in our area.
We are very grateful for the public’s help in assisting with this arrest. For the victim’s family, nothing will bring him back , but hopefully the arrest of this suspect will start the justice process.” Steven Jones is currently facing a murder charge and is being held in the Henry County Jail.
