The dismembered body of model and influencer Abby Choi was discovered, and on Saturday, February 25, Hong Kong police said they had detained three suspects. Choi’s legs were discovered in a refrigerator on Friday, February 24, turning the Hong Kong town of Lung Mei Tsuen into a butcher shop.

The attack was “well planned” and “premeditated” and there were many “smokescreens” to hide the truth from the authorities, according to a police statement. The ground-floor apartment of the three-story house on Tai Po’s Lung Mei Tsuen had been meticulously prepared as a place to cut up a body, according to Superintendent Alan Chung Nga-lun of the Kowloon West regional crime unit. He said: “The body parts we found were inside the refrigerator. There are two legs that belong to a woman.”

He further added: “We are still looking for the head, torso and hands, which we believe were discarded.” Additionally, reports indicate that human tissue was discovered in two pots of soup. Twenty police officers are said to have entered and exited the property while filming it while investigating the scene. Agents arrived at the apartment of the victim’s former father-in-law, which was completely devoid of furniture, containing only a sofa and a table.
