Cameron Salmon has been on the run for nearly two years after his bail was revoked, and is wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting a young teenage girl. He is now one of Pittsburgh’s most wanted fugitives. The Allegheny County Sheriff’s Department needs his help in locating him. Salmon is only 21 years old, but he is already one of Pittsburgh’s most wanted fugitives. He is wanted on a series of charges stemming from several different cases, including drugs, weapons, resisting arrest, and sexual assault. The last known address of him is in Duquesne.

And while he was on the run, authorities filed even more charges against him related to some disturbing new cases. “In February of last year, charges were filed against Mr. Salmon related to a sexual assault involving a minor, and he has been on the loose ever since,” Allegheny County Sheriff Kevin Kraus said.

Cameron Salmon allegedly sexually assaulting a young teenage girl

In February 2022, Allegheny County police charged Salmon with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl. Investigators said Salmon met the teen, who is from Wilkinsburg, online and then lured her into the basement of a home in Swissvale. The alleged victim and his friend identified Salmon from a series of photographs, according to the complaint. Salmon now faces charges of statutory sexual assault, indecent assault, corruption of minors and more.

According to the criminal complaint, Salmon gave the girl and her 13-year-old friend marijuana and then proceeded to sexually assault the 14-year-old girl. “Certainly, when there is a sexual assault involving a minor, our office takes it very seriously. We give a high priority to that. We take this very seriously in trying to get people off the streets,” Kraus said.

Just two months after his bail was revoked in August 2021, Salmon was charged with fleeing to avoid arrest, and then, last January, he was charged with committing aggravated assault in Duquesne. “Based on his criminal history, we consider him dangerous and, as I said, we hope we can apprehend him without further incident or charges,” Kraus said.Read More…….
