Her family said that her phone battery was low when she got off the train, but the last time she spoke to her boyfriend they agreed that she would meet them at her family’s home. However, Garcia never showed up at the apartment.

Another cousin, Jessenia Robles, 20, of Pennsylvania, told NBC News that it was strange that Garcia went so long without being “active on social media.”
