In an early morning shooting in Goshen, California, six people were found dead, including a teenage mother and a six-month-old baby, on Monday, January 16. Deputies responded to multiple 911 calls to a home at 6800 Block of Harvest Road, about 36 miles south of Fresno after multiple shots were heard after 3:30 a.m., according to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office. Upon arrival, officers located two gunshot victims dead, and after an additional search of the home, they found four other gunshot victims, according to ABC30. One of the six victims was still alive when authorities arrived at the scene and they were taken to the hospital. However, the victim was pronounced dead a short time later, a local news outlet reports.

Among the fatalities in the shooting were a 16-year-old mother and a six-month-old baby. The baby, Nycholas Nolan Parraz, was found cradled in the arms of her mother, Alissa Parraz, outside the home. Both were shot in the head when the teenage mother tried to flee with her young son. Notably, a drug search warrant was served on the same Goshen home just a week ago.

Disclosing the drug search warrant at the home a week ago, the sheriff said other family members survived the tragic shootings. He said: “We have a family that was escorted from the scene, we have survivors. The reason they survived this horrible massacre, for lack of a better term, we just don’t have all that information this morning.”
