A woman who died in a terror chase may have been forced off the road by an Albanian gang, amid claims she was an “innocent victim” trapped in a row of deadly drug debts. It is alleged that Amy-rose Wilson, 27, and her boyfriend, Ryan Paterson, 22, were involved in an altercation moments before the horrifying event on Saturday night.

The couple fled from Foundry Street in Falkirk in a silver Vauxhall Vectra, which was pursued by a black Mercedes C-Class for around half a mile, before crashing into trees and bushes on the B902 New Carron Road at around 6:10pm. Police Scotland are treating Amy’s death as suspicious and launched a murder investigation yesterday appealing to anyone with information to get in touch. A 39-year-old man driving a black Volkswagen Tiguan suffered minor injuries, as did Amy-rose’s boyfriend.

A source told The Sun: ‘Amy was an innocent victim in this. It is said that a gang of Albanians was owed a lot of money and they came looking for it. It had nothing to do with Amy. They’ve been trying to get the money for months and we all knew something really bad was going to end up happening.

The publication also reported that Amy-rose and her XL Bully dog breeder boyfriend Ryan were chased by another car in a similar chase just a few weeks ago. The couple told friends they were “stalked” by a group, believed to be different people, in a car and filmed the terror chase along the roads of Falkirk.

Reflecting on the chase in April, Amy-rose said on social media at the time: “I just drove normally, I’m not bothered by her childish behavior and playing games with her.” They will get bored and move on. Ryan, who is understood to still be in hospital, added: “They’re actually stalking me sitting down the road.”

Amy was still on the phone with me when she was coming out of the street and she sounded really scared, she was crying and upset about what was happening.

Ryan was telling her not to look back and to drive as fast as she could. My house is not far from Foundry Street, so I told her to hang up and I’d see her when she got there. “I tried to call her again about 15 minutes later because they still hadn’t arrived, so I was obviously very scared that she wouldn’t answer. It wasn’t long after that I read a Facebook post saying there had been an accident on New Carron Road.

‘My heart was in my mouth, I knew right away it was Amy and Ryan. I got in my car and drove to New Carron Road, but the police covered everything up, so I couldn’t see which cars were involved. Fighting back tears, Amy’s friend said she was having a hard time accepting what happened, describing her as one in a million.

She added: ‘I can’t believe it. How can you talk to someone on the phone one second and the next they’re dead? I will never see her again. ‘Amy helped me a lot, she would have done anything for anyone. I know people say this all the time, but she really was one in a million. My heart is really broken into a thousand pieces.

Detectives want to hear from anyone who was in the New Carron Road and Foundry Street areas around 6 p.m. m. on Saturday night. They are also asking anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage to contact them as they say it is “imperative” to find the occupants of the black Mercedes C-Class.

Detective Inspector Hazel Reid said: “Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends at this very difficult time.” “We have a dedicated team of officers working on this investigation and extensive investigations are ongoing at this time. It is imperative that we locate the occupants of the black Mercedes who fled the scene. “We believe this vehicle pursued the Vauxhall in a dangerous manner, resulting in a collision with the Volkswagen Tiguan.

Officers are collecting CCTV footage of the surrounding area and door-to-door investigations are also underway. I am looking forward to speaking to anyone with a private CCTV, dash cam or any other recording that they think might help the investigation. ‘We will have a continuous police presence in the area and anyone with a concern can approach these officers.
