Surveillance camera footage showed a newer model Chevy Malibu, reportedly driven by Stanford, pulling into the gas station at 9:42 p.m. and parks. Stanford entered the store and came out less than two minutes later. Police say he can be seen going back to his car, grabbing something from inside and stuffing it into the waistband of his shorts.

The Nissan pulls into the parking lot immediately after, stopping two islands of gas from Stanford’s car. When they arrived at the gas station, Ross and his girlfriend were in the middle of a minor fight over a food order, a third woman in the vehicle with them told police. That woman also said she believed Ross’s argument with his girlfriend somehow got Stanford’s attention.

Ross’s girlfriend entered the store while Ross was standing outside the driver’s side door. Stanford can be seen walking towards Ross and the two appeared to “exchange words,” police wrote. Ross, who seemed “agitated” after the exchange, then entered the store.

The third person in Ross’s vehicle told investigators that he was watching Stanford because he “seemed suspicious” and saw him return to his car and start “rummaging around” for something. She said she appeared to be “arming herself with a gun,” so she texted Ross’s girlfriend saying, “Tell the cashier this man has a gun and is trying to get KB (Ross).” ”. About three minutes later, Ross left the store and returned to his vehicle.

Ross’s girlfriend told police that when Ross entered the store, she said Stanford was “waving his gun” in the parking lot. That’s when the girlfriend got the text telling the teller to call the police. Ross then left the store and had another exchange with Stanford.

“Stanford walked up to Ross and was standing in the front of his car. Stanford then acted as if he was going to walk back to Ross’s vehicle, but instead walked to the back of Ross’s vehicle,” the affidavit reads. “[The witness] heard Stanford yell, ‘fuck off,’ and fire three rounds. The man then ran to his car and drove away.”

Police arrested Stanford at an apartment complex shortly after the shooting. He was charged with murder and his bail was set at $1 million. It was not clear from court records whether Stanford had retained an attorney.Read More……
