LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The mother of one of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims is furious with Evan Peters for his recent win at the Golden Globe Awards. Evan played the role of the infamous serial killer in the popular Netflix series, ‘Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story’.

He was awarded the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series. However, the mother of the victim Tony Hughes did not take it lightly and came out to protest against the actor.

Shirley was enraged, saying, “There are a lot of sick people all over the world, and people who win roles playing murderers keep the obsession going and this makes sick people thrive on fame.” She claimed that Evan’s win for the Netflix series would not lead to anything good.

Shirley also questioned Evan’s decision to accept the role, stating that out of respect for families still dealing with the pain of losing loved ones, he should not have taken the role.

Shirley told TMZ: “It’s a shame that people can take our tragedy and make money. The victims never saw a dime. We go through these emotions every day.” Meanwhile, Evans previously expressed his hope to the audience during his acceptance speech that his achievement and the series will result in something positive.

According to the Daily Mail, the 35-year-old said: “Thank you to the HFPA, thank you to Netflix and Mr. Ryan Murphy for allowing me to be a part of his brilliant vision again…and to the entire post-production team. for showing me how they work his brilliant magic.
