A woman has been photographed whose body was found wrapped in a plastic bag in a South Los Angeles home. The body of Hannah Rachel Collins, 30, was found Sunday in the bedroom of a 26-year-old Hispanic man by her horrified mother at her home in the 2200 block of Wall Street.

It is not yet publicly known how or when she died, but police are still looking for the 26-year-old suspect. DailyMail.com has contacted the LAPD for more information. The mother called police and told responding officers that she entered her son’s bedroom early Sunday to investigate a “distinctive gas odor,” the New York Post reported.

Instead, she discovered the gruesome scene of Collins’s body wrapped in plastic. A family member told the Post that relatives hadn’t heard from Collins, who is from Mississippi, since shortly after her birthday on Aug. 7. She had moved from her home state to Los Angeles in June.

The victim had just celebrated her birthday two weeks earlier, according to information released by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office. Authorities described the deceased as a Caucasian female and paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. Little additional information about the victim has been released.

The owner was unable to locate her son at the time of discovery. The Los Angeles Police Department has launched a homicide investigation, but no arrests have yet been made. Police continue to search for the 26-year-old suspect, but have not publicly released her identity.Read More…….
