James Megill Wiki – James Megill Biography

A 2019 attempt by a Wall man to lure in what he thought was a 14-year-old boy, but turned out to be a researcher looking for online predators, landed him three years in state prison on Friday. James Megill  43, sentenced for endangering the welfare of a child by Superior Court Judge Marc C. Lemieux, will also face Megan’s Law search and will be under probation supervision for the remainder of his life.

Megill contacted the user who he thought was a 14-year-old high school student, sent her sexually explicit messages and requested nude photos, Monmouth County Attorney Raymond S. Santiago said in a statement.

Charges on James Megill

The Wall Township Police Department, the prosecutor’s office and its Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigated. Megill pleaded guilty on October 14. Investigators are seeking additional information on Megill’s activities. Santiago urges anyone with information to contact Detective Anthony Lacher of the prosecutor’s office at 800-533-7443.
