Police in Mississippi are investigating a kidnapping incident, during which a 42-year-old man was shot to death and a 10-month-old child was kidnapped, the Jackson Police Department said in a news release. When police arrived at the scene Wednesday night, they found the man dead and learned the child was missing, the statement said. Police did not identify the man or the boy, but the boy was later found safe. Jazmyn Johnson is arrested.

Why Jazmyn Johnson arrested?

Police alleged that three masked men and a woman kicked down the back door of a home, robbed the residents, shot the man to death and took the child at gunpoint. The suspect, Jazmyn , 23, was later found and arrested at a gas station, where she also recovered the baby, police said.

Johnson was charged with capital murder, armed robbery of an individual, burglary of an occupied dwelling and kidnapping. It is not immediately clear whether he has pleaded guilty or hired an attorney. Police added that more charges and arrests will be “coming soon.” Read More…….
