Authorities said that just before midnight, outside the Last Stop Bar & Grill, Jeffrey Pierre got into a fight with another man during which he was shot by a third person who had no connection to the dispute.

The horrifying incident took place on White Plains Road near East 240th Street in Wakefield, the New York Post reports.

Police said they responded to a 911 emergency call and found Pierre with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. The injured man was immediately taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

According to the New York Post, the suspect fled the scene and, according to the NYPD, the shooter, who was last seen wearing a gray tracksuit, left the area in a Jeep.

The suspect has yet to be found and no arrests have been made as of yet. On Friday, December 23, the police said they still did not know the reason for the devastating incident.

Aside from this incident, other shootings took place in the city overnight with at least two other people injured. Another man was shot in the chest around 6:30 p.m. m. in Lexington. He is reportedly in stable condition at Harlem Hospital, where he was admitted.

Just before 7:00 p.m. m. In East New York, Brooklyn, a man was shot in the arm on Lincoln Avenue near Sutter Avenue. The injured man was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center and is said to be in stable condition.

Police reported that three men, dressed in black attire, fled the scene. In both incidents, the intent behind the shot is still unknown.

In a recent incident, even a police officer was not spared being shot when an NYPD veteran was shot and wounded while responding to a domestic dispute and handcuffing a suspect Wednesday morning, December 22, as reported by the police, reports MEAWW.

One of the suspect’s hand was free as the officer handcuffed him, after which he took the gun from the officer’s waistband and shot him in the foot. The officer was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he is in stable condition and stated that his injuries are not life-threatening.Read More…..
