Jenni Wilmott accused of killing daughter

Jasmine took her own life in 2018 and police allege Wilmott failed in his duty of care to her daughter. The South Australian mother appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Thursday. The court was told that Ms Wilmott did not admit the charges against her and that negotiations between her defense team and the prosecution had not yet begun.

Ms Wilmott’s lawyer requested a 10-week adjournment, which the prosecution supported. Ms Wilmott is out on bail and left court after the hearing. She will appear in court again on November 22 to answer the charges against her. Craig Caldicott, representing Ms Wilmott, previously told the court his client would fight the charges and plead not guilty.
