A frantic search is underway for a missing Goldman Sachs analyst who was last seen leaving a Brooklyn nightclub early Sunday morning. John Castic, 27, of Chicago, told his friends at the Mirage club in Brooklyn that he would get an Uber ride to his apartment on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. It’s unclear if he ever called or took an Uber, but he never made it home and his friends raised the alarm Sunday. Castic graduated from DePaul University and began working as a senior analyst at Goldman Sachs in August 2022.

Castic and his friends had gone to see the Canadian electronic duo Zeds Dead. The last photo of him, shared by a friend, shows him arriving at his front door at 9 p.m. m., before heading to the concert outside the Williamsburg and Bushwick neighborhoods of Brooklyn. His friends say that he left the place at 2:30 am. One person on Reddit claimed that there were a mob of unlicensed taxi drivers circling the area, and speculated that Castic might have gotten into one of his vehicles to try and get home.

John Castic went missing

Police initially refused to raise the alarm, they said, because he did not have any known mental health problems, but had assigned a detective to the case by Monday night. On Tuesday, a group of his friends plan to meet outside the club and tour the area. “One of my best friends, John Castic, disappeared after the Zeds Dead show on Friday night in New York,” his friend Sara Kostecka wrote Monday. “Any information would be greatly appreciated, as well as sharing this with anyone in New York who may have seen it.” Kostecka told Fox News Digital that she’s known Castic for seven years and he’s never been unreachable. Another friend, Jonah Shales, added that Castic’s phone died and hasn’t come back on since.

“We are absolutely very concerned about him,” Shales said. “No one has had any contact with him.” Castic’s disappearance occurred after another 27-year-old disappeared from the same Brooklyn location. Karl Clemente was with a group of friends on June 11 hoping to get into the Brooklyn Mirage around 9 p.m., but was turned away by doormen on suspicion of having been drinking.

He left and headed to a nearby gas station, where people often wait to get drinks and snacks before calling Ubers or Lyfts home. He then he disappeared.
