The heartbreaking 911 call came Sunday night. According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Precinct 4, a neighbor in the suburban Foxwood subdivision saw a teenage girl running from house to house on Foxmont Lane in Humble. She clearly was distraught.

“Our agents arrived on scene and, within minutes, were able to determine that this 18-year-old female had been held captive for approximately the past month, in a neighborhood home,” Agent Mark Herman said during a news briefing. Conference Monday afternoon. “She Recently she had just run away from that house. The deputies who responded observed marks on her hands and legs, which would indicate restrictions. Charges on Jose Pedro Reyes Jr and Jaqueline Macias

The accused couple later arrived at the residence in question and were immediately arrested, Herman said. Police believe Reyes met the teen somewhere, was able to “gain her trust” and somehow managed to get her to return to the home “voluntarily.” At some point, Herman said, the 18-year-old was “boarded,” tied up, and restrained in a room for about 30 days, possibly even longer.

“It seems that this guy gained her trust, took her to her place and then took her captive,” the agent summarized. Details of what the entire Houston-area girl endured are still preliminary, authorities say, and were gleaned from initial interviews with the victim. Additional details in the case are highly dependent on a more in-depth interview and medical evidence, Herman said.

But what law enforcement say they know about what happened to the teen in northwestern Harris County is shocking and disturbing. “At some point after they basically started holding her against her will, they started sexually assaulting her and other things,” Herman said during the news conference. “Just a very, very… wicked, wicked thing.”

The defendants are alleged to have left the house, but only briefly, on Sunday night, and the woman seized the opportunity. “She knew they were both gone and she knew it was her time,” Herman said in comments reported by local CBS affiliate KHOU and CBS News. “She did everything in every fiber of her to get out of her binds, out the door.” After the couple were arrested, the teen was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of her injuries and tests, police said. Her current condition is not a matter of public knowledge.

The couple appeared in court on Monday. A judge set Reyes’ bail at $100,000; Macías’ bail was set at $50,000. Jail records show Reyes is due back in court on September 13; Macías’ next court date is scheduled for September 26. During Monday’s bond hearing, it was revealed that Macias and Reyes are the parents of a baby boy, local ABC affiliate KTRK reported. The child was born while the teenager was held captive.Read more…….
