March Jr., 24, were booked Friday for murder at the Southeast Ohio Regional Jail. As previously reported, Columbus, Ohio police had been searching for them for allegedly murdering baby Marquel Smith.

Officers were dispatched to the home Monday on a report that the child was not breathing, according to the documents. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead and doctors discovered suspicious and serious injuries.

“The Columbus Police Homicide Unit was notified after Children’s Hospital physicians found numerous broken bones,” authorities wrote in the documents. “Some broken bones were healing fractures and the right leg was a sharp fracture.”

Officers said they brought Dawson and March in for questioning.
