Rudolph was found guilty of murder and mail fraud after a three-week trial that took place in Denver, Colorado, in the summer. In announcing the verdict for the dentist, a jury of six men and six women agreed with the prosecution’s allegations that he had planned to kill his wife of 34 years in cold blood in order to start a new life with Milliron, who had been her lover for 20 years.
While the court has yet to announce whether Rudolph will face life in prison, he recently admitted to his mistress in a prison phone call that he should find a new boyfriend since he will die in jail. According to the Daily Mail, Milliron told Rudolph in the intercepted phone call that she “didn’t expect that at 65 he would have to have a new career.”

To which Rudolph replied, “You should find a new boyfriend, while you can. Well, I just wanted to tell you that I love you.” Then Milliron said, “Take care. Never, ever give up. Please.” But she admitted: “It’s not about giving up, Lori. It’s just about facing reality. I’m a dead man. I’m going to die in prison. And I don’t want to take you with me, or anyone else.” It’s not fair.” Milliron, who was also found guilty of giving false and misleading evidence to a grand jury regarding money, currently lives in his nearly completed custom-built home in Paradise Valley, Arizona.
The court heard that Bianca died after being shot by a Browning shotgun in her cabin where they were staying during their safari in Zambia. Rangers and scouts heard a shot coming from her shelter on October 11, 2016 at 5 am. Upon reaching the room, they found Bianca with a gunshot wound to her chest. While the prosecutor claimed that Rudolph killed her to claim insurance money from her, her defense claimed that Bianca shot herself by mistake while she was packing her things.
Rudolph also revealed that he had been in an open marriage with his late wife since 2000: “I did not kill my wife. I could not kill my wife. I would not kill my wife,” Rudolph told the jury. The dentist claimed that he was in the bathroom when he heard the shot. Rudolph was indicted in December 2021 for the murder.

Prosecutors also told jurors that Rudolph was heard yelling “I killed my fucking wife for you!” during an argument with Milliron at a Phoenix steakhouse in 2020. But he denied admitting to the murder of his wife. David Markus, an attorney who represented Rudolph in his murder trial, denied that his client made the statement to Milliron, claiming that a witness, who allegedly overheard his conversation, was wrong. He told the jury that Rudolph actually said, “They’re saying I killed my f—–g wife for you.” The incident on October 11, 2016, was declared an accident by Zambian authorities two days later, according to the defense. Insurance investigators came to the same conclusion and ultimately paid $4.8 million.
