The victims claimed that Capps woke them up at 3 a.m., gathered them in the living room of his home at gunpoint and refused to let them leave. They said Capps repeatedly pointed a gun at them and told them multiple times that if they tried to call anyone, he would kill them and any police who showed up at the house, Aaron said.
The victims said Capps eventually fell asleep, giving them the opportunity to flee the house with their pets. “They drove to the Hermitage compound and told the officers what Capps had done and that they were afraid of him,” Aaron added. “SWAT officers had found out about the case because Capps had access to his weapons and violent actions during the night.”
