According to a probable cause affidavit, officers with the Wichita Falls Police Department responded to a call from the victim on August 8, 2021, reporting that Polvado “sexually assaulted” her and said that “threats were made on her life if someone said.”

The victim told investigators that in March 2019 she gave birth to a baby boy who died a few days later due to medical complications.
