There is no ongoing threat after the Farmington shooting, according to police. The massacre took place on Monday morning, May 15, around 11 a.m. m., in which agents of the Farmington Police Department and several civilians participated, reported Daily Mail.
An officer with the Farmington Police Department and another officer with the New Mexico State Police were taken to the San Juan Regional Medical Center where they are receiving treatment for their gunshot wounds. Both are in stable condition. However, it is not clear how many civilians were injured in the shooting.

Following the shooting, the Farmington Police Department shared an update at 1:54 p.m. m. to dismiss earlier reports that there is a second suspect involved in the shooting, adding that all lockdowns have been lifted. The tragedy occurred in the Brookside Park area and several houses and vehicles were hit by bullets. According to Farmington Municipal Schools, approximately 15 minutes after the incident, the Farmington Police Department requested the closure of four nearby schools.
One of the victims who was shot in the arm was a 35-year-old man. In a Facebook post shared by a person who claimed to be working at the San Juan Regional Medical Center, he explained the moment an injured officer arrived at the facility.
A person who says he works at the San Juan Regional Medical Center described on Facebook the moment an injured officer was brought to the facility. “I know, we saw the first police cars go in and one pulled an officer out of the back seat and dragged him inside. The ambulance entrance is right by my window. Lots of ambulances going in and out. Various staff members of EMS hugged each other and cried. The whole hospital is closed. It made me so sad,” the person wrote.

Although some closures were lifted, Apache and McKinley elementary schools, CATE Center and Central Kitchen remained closed Monday afternoon. The San Juan Regional Medical Center, where victims are treated for injuries, was also placed on lockdown.
