IDAHO: Raul Alexander Cuevas, a 31-year-old resident of Nampa, Idaho, has been charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of 39-year-old Jesus R Urrutia. The incident occurred just one day after Cuevas’ mother, Michelle E Luna, was fatally stabbed at her residence in the same area.

Upon arrival, officers found Luna with multiple stab wounds and pronounced her dead at the scene. Later, Urrutia was identified as the main suspect in his murder. The following day, another stabbing victim believed to be Urrutia was reported to authorities. Officers arrived at the parking lot of the Avimor gas station, more than 25 miles from Nampa, to find Urrutia slumped in his moving car with a sharp force injury to his chest. He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Later that day, agents located Cuevas at a gas station about 20 miles south of where Urrutia was found. They collected evidence from his car before arresting him and transporting him to the Ada County Jail. While the investigation continues, authorities remain unsure of the motive for Urrutia’s murder. “We don’t know if it’s a revenge killing. We don’t know if it’s retaliation or if there’s something else going on that we’re not aware of at this point,” said Tim Riha, a Nampa police spokesman. Department said according to Law & Crime.

Ada County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Andrea Dearden said a connection is believed to exist between the homicide victim and the suspect in this case, but details remain unknown.
