Rebecca Bliefnick Wiki -Rebecca Bliefnick Biography
Police investigating the death of a mother of three who was shot multiple times raided the home of her estranged husband. Rebecca Bliefnick 41, was found dead in her home by a family member on February 23, after they were concerned that she would not pick up her three children from St Peter’s School in Quincy, Illinois.
Officers pounced on a house on Hampshire Street at 8 a.m. Wednesday, just a mile from Rebecca’s home on Kentucky Road. Her husband, Tim Bliefnick 39, lives on the property and it is understood the couple were in the process of divorcing. Sources say Bliefnick was “very cooperative” with officers and handed over the keys to the house, which he rents, and his car.
Bliefnick was stopped by officers outside his home and taken to a relative’s property after speaking with officers, according to the Muddy River News. Quincy police confirmed that they searched the property and one person was “temporarily detained” but later released. They noted that no arrests have been made in connection with his murder, and that they have not filed an arrest warrant.

Rebecca Bliefnick cause of death
Rebecca’s estranged husband does not own the property that has been raided, and it is unclear who was taken into custody by police. Concerned relatives raised the alarm after Rebecca, a nurse, was unable to pick up her three children from her school. Officers responded to her home at 3:32 p.m. m. and have remained at the location ever since, removing evidence from the property.
Police Chief Adam Yates said such violent crime is “rare” in the small town, which has just 40,000 people living there. In a statement, the police department said: “No injuries were reported during the warrant service. As part of the warrant service, one person was temporarily detained in the 2000 block of Hampshire and released.
‘Information learned and evidence collected over the past six days has led us to this point in our investigation. ‘During a criminal investigation, it is not unusual to obtain and serve numerous search warrants for a variety of reasons. Search warrants are a normal part of the investigative process.
Our detectives will allow the information and evidence to guide them as they continue to investigate. ‘The Adams County Sheriff’s Office and the Adams County Ambulance Service assisted with the search warrant service. “It’s important to remember that everyone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”
Authorities previously said they have eight detectives working on the case, as Rebecca’s friends and family share a ‘Justice for Becky’ image, with the number of the police department. Rebecca and Tim are believed to have married in 2009, but were in the process of divorcing at the time of her death, although nothing was finalized.
The couple have three children together, but they were living apart at the time of their marriage. We only get one chance to get it right. Ms. Bliefnick deserves the best and that’s exactly what we aim to give her. ‘We are lucky to live in a community where violent crime like this is rare. When it happens, it’s devastating.
‘Nothing I say here tonight will reassure our community. Making an arrest in this case is the only way to go. We are working very hard to make that happen. This investigation is our top priority. ‘Once again, I offer my condolences to the family and friends of Mrs Bliefnick. May God be with them, with her, and with the investigators seeking justice on her behalf.’
