Stefan Benz who currently resides in Los Angeles, was born on September 26, 2006 in Johannesburg, South Africa. He has a younger sister and began writing songs and posting piano covers to Instagram in 2017. From a very young age, Stefan had an affinity for music and it showed great promise. Stefan has amassed over 13,839,098 views on his YouTube channel and is frequently seen at major events like the VMAs and Grammy Awards. Among other instruments, he is an expert in playing the guitar, the piano, and the ukulele. The South African singer has the most Instagram followers of any ‘American Idol’ contestant.

The sixth episode of ABC’s ‘American Idol’ had viewers glued to their screens with several heartwarming moments and the announcement of the season’s first Platinum ticket winner, Tyson Venegas. The next round of auditions will feature more talented singers who will dazzle the judges and the audience with their voices. One of those contestants is Stefan Benz, a 16-year-old pop singer.

He began producing songs and performing in 2017, and from a young age showed remarkable promise in his mastery of music and other artistic skills, helping him rise to stardom.
